On 15 November, Torre de Palma hosts a special four-hands lunch celebrating the flavours and traditions of Alentejo cuisine.
Our resident chef, Eduardo Grilo, a native of Arronches, has spent the past 9 years at Torre de Palma developing a cuisine deeply connected to his roots, celebrating local produce and the flavours that define the Alentejo's culinary identity. The Torre de Palma vegetable garden is the foundation of everything served at the table: it shapes the restaurant's menus, which change with the seasons and follow the rhythm of nature.
For this lunch, he is joined by guest chef Diogo Prego, whose roots lie in the village of Vaiamonte, to create a menu inspired by the produce, flavours and identity of traditional Alentejo cooking. Diogo Prego has built his career as a private chef, including a period in England, where he took on the challenge of cooking daily for a Portuguese professional footballer.
Two stories rooted in the same region, two perspectives on cooking and one shared goal: to celebrate the produce and traditions of a cuisine deeply connected to the land.
A lunch to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace, around the table, between the flavours of the Alentejo and the hospitality of Torre de Palma.
